Rajinikanth’s film, “Jailer,” which hit theaters on August 10, has achieved a remarkable feat by crossing the ₹600 crore mark globally on its 18th day of release. The movie’s box office collection has reached an impressive ₹607.29 crore, according to film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan. The action-packed film has garnered around ₹315.95 crore nett in India across all languages, as reported by Sacnilk.com. On its third Sunday, “Jailer” raked in approximately ₹7.5 crore nett in India, contributing to its achievement.
The Tamil film, also dubbed in Hindi, Kannada, and Telugu, has shown exceptional performance at the box office, joining the exclusive ₹600 crore club in just 18 days. This accomplishment places it as the second Tamil film to reach this milestone, following “2.0” in 2018. On its third Sunday in theaters, “Jailer” garnered ₹10.25 crore worldwide.
Manobala shared the film’s success story on X (formerly known as Twitter), writing, “Jailer worldwide box office. ₹600 Jailer. The film’s strong performance, including houseful shows on its third Sunday, propelled it past the magical ₹600 crore mark on the 18th day… ‘2.0’ was the pioneer from Tamil Cinema to achieve this on its 10th day. Week 1 – ₹450.8 crore. Week 2 – ₹124.18 crore. Week 3 Day 1 – ₹7.67 crore, Day 2 – ₹6.03 crore, Day 3 – ₹8.36 crore. Day 4 – ₹10.25 crore. Total – ₹607.29 crore.”
Directed by Nelson, “Jailer” features Rajinikanth along with Vasanth Ravi, Tamannaah Bhatia, Yogi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, and Vinayakan in significant roles. It also marks the Tamil debut of Kannada superstar Rajkumar’s son, Shiva Rajkumar, and includes a special appearance by veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal and Jackie Shroff.
