Nothing, led by CEO Carl Pei, made an announcement in early August regarding the imminent introduction of a new subsidiary brand labeled “CMF by Nothing.” The sub-brand is set to unveil a cutting-edge smartwatch aimed at competing with some of the top contenders in the smartwatch market, along with a line of earbuds expected to be released later this year. Recent leaked information has shed light on the design, certain features, and an additional product within this upcoming lineup.
On the social media platform that was formerly known as Twitter, an account with the handle @TechLeaksZone shared three images that appear to be internal marketing materials. These visuals prominently feature a smartwatch named the “Watch Pro,” a set of earbuds labeled the “Buds Pro,” and a versatile 3-in-1 65W GaN USB-C and USB charger.
Starting with the Watch Pro, the images display a smartwatch sporting a square-like display. While its rounded edges draw a resemblance to an Apple Watch, the absence of curved sides sets it apart. Notably, the orange band lacks visible lugs, which might indicate that the band is not detachable. Additional details on the specifications are provided in a separate Telegram post. According to the leak, the device boasts a 1.96-inch AMOLED display featuring an always-on display (AOD) function, a peak brightness of 600 nits, a refresh rate of 50Hz, and it is confirmed not to operate on Wear OS.
The device is rumored to possess an aluminum alloy watch case, integrated GPS with Bluetooth 5.3, IP68-rated water and dust resistance, and a 330mAh battery (offering up to 13 days of usage with AOD disabled). It is expected to include a suite of health-oriented features such as a heart rate monitor, blood oxygen level sensor, sleep tracking capabilities, stress monitoring, and a breathing exercise sensor, among others. The leak also alleges support for Bluetooth calling with AI-powered noise reduction, over 100 watch faces, and a library of more than 100 workout options.
On the subject of the Buds Pro, information is relatively limited. The leaked banner indicates that these earbuds will boast active noise cancellation, an uninterrupted playback duration of 11 hours, and integration of ultra bass technology. Interestingly, these earbuds sport a distinct form factor compared to the peanut-shaped earbuds that surfaced earlier this year.
Accompanying these revelations, the leak provides a potential launch date and pricing details. The information suggests a potential release date
