2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid Unveiled: Boasts Insane 729 HP and 700 lb-ft

A few months back, I had the privilege of experiencing the all-new 2024 Porsche Cayenne firsthand. My test drive included both the S model and the high-tier, exceptionally fast Turbo GT variant, both of which left me awestruck. Without a doubt, it stands as the most impressive SUV currently available for purchase. Naturally, in true Porsche fashion, the brand isn’t settling, even after the Turbo GT’s impressive 650 horsepower. As revealed in a recent announcement on Monday, Porsche is taking it a step further by integrating a hybrid system into the twin-turbo V8 engine.

Introducing the Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, a vehicle that delivers an astonishing 729 hp and 700 lb-ft of torque by seamlessly combining power from its gasoline engine and hybrid setup. This remarkable output results in a claimed 0-60 time of just 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 183 mph.

However, the Cayenne’s exceptional power isn’t its sole standout feature. It introduces a significantly larger battery pack compared to prior Cayenne hybrid iterations – now boasting 25.9 kilowatt-hours – translating to a considerably extended electric driving range. Moreover, an onboard 11 kW charger greatly expedites the process of recharging the battery, a departure from the prevailing trend of plug-in hybrid drivers not utilizing their charging capabilities.

Beyond its innovative powertrain, the Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid inherits all the outstanding attributes that set the new Cayenne lineup apart. This includes adaptive air suspension and Porsche Torque Vectoring, along with optional features like Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control and rear-wheel steering. Creature comforts such as a heated steering wheel and 18-way power sport seats come standard, complemented by a Race-Tex (an equivalent of Porsche’s Alcantara) headliner.

You can now place your orders for the 2024 Porsche Cayenne Turbo E-Hybrid, and anticipates shipments are set for the second quarter of the upcoming year. The SUV variant kicks off at $148,550, while the coupe option begins at $153,050, encompassing a destination fee of $1,650 within both prices.
